Аналитический обзор литературы посвящён актуальности и неоднозначности понятия пациент-центрированной медицины, которое всё больше привлекает внимание исследователей и практиков. Рассмотрены предпосылки возникновения этого явления, его перспективы как совершенно нового, обобщённого врачебного подхода к человеку с возможностью позитивных изменений на уровнях от соматического до социокультурного. Поставлен ряд вопросов, предложены пути концептуализации и поиска доказательной базы для практического внедрения пациент-центрированной парадигмы.
